First United & Middle Circle invite you to Zoom Church Theology Discussion Night this Sunday at 5 PM.
Zoom Church Theology Night is all about sharing in conversation around our experiences with religion, spirituality and theology and how they are viewed and used in our local community, country and wider world. Participants are welcome to participate as much or as little as they would like. We will be gathering through the online meeting platform Zoom.us
(You are welcome to share this information with anyone you may feel is interested; and know that for now, we are keeping the distribution limited, since we are still in the "getting the kinks out" phase. The plan is that eventually this will be promoted widely throughout our broad international base of contacts.)
This Sunday, September 24, at 5:00 pm will be ZOOMChurch led by your crack ZOOMTeam of Pastor Susan, Pastor Anders, and Steve Johnson, with Orion backstage calling the cues and running tech.
But there's a twist this time as we try something new--as Pastor Susan explains:Yes, there will be Communion during ZOOMChurch this week. Because we believe that the presence of God is not limited by time or space and that we are intimately interconnected with the Divine and one another, we can participate in the sacred Meal in this new way.
You are invited to have bread and wine/grape juice with you to be blessed during the liturgy. Although there will be many parts that make up the Meal, there is still only one Body. Here are the simple instructions you need to join in:
