Sanctuary Exhibit & Service at Fort Mason

This Sunday, November 19, Middle Circle is invited to join our friends in the First United community to gather together on a Discovery and Enrichment event at Fort Mason Chapel.  It's an art exhibition entitled Sanctuary, mounted by the For-Site Foundation. For Sanctuary, the Foundation commissioned 36 international artists to reflect on sanctuary in a series of hand-woven rugs that are placed in the Fort Mason Chapel.

Folks are invited to follow this event with First United's 5:00 pm worship service (on the theme of Sanctuary) over in the Presidio Chapel.

Getting to Fort Mason Chapel

Public Transportation

Visitors are encouraged to take public transportation. Fort Mason Chapel is roughly 0.3 miles from the MUNI stop at Van Ness Avenue and North Point Street serviced by the 28, 30, 47, 49, and 91 lines. Additional trip planning information, including surrounding Bay Area transportation, can be found at 511.org.

Car Service

To reach Sanctuary by Lyft or Uber, type “Fort Mason Chapel” into the destination.

Parking

Limited free parking is available in the Bay Street Lot of Upper Fort Mason. Paid parking is available in the Lower Fort Mason parking lot (enter at Buchanan Street and Marina Boulevard), which connects to Upper Fort Mason by stairs (follow signs).

Limited ADA-accessible parking is available near the Chapel in Upper Fort Mason.
